Youth for future Europe - CIWE seminar
Location: Rome, Italy
Date: 25 March - 1 April 2013
Participants: 14 (Belarus, Ukraine, Italy, Hungary, Azerbaijan, Germany)
Financed by: European Commission, Youth in Action programme, Action 3.1 (Eastern Partnership Youth Window)
Promoter: SCI Italy (CIWE Network)
Trainers: Achim Koenig (Germany), Nikolai Kvantaliani (Belarus), Mauro Carta
The re-opening of the "Casale Garibaildi", seat of the "Città dell'Utopia" project promoted by SCI Italy coincided with the beginning of the "Youth for future Europe" international seminar in the framework of the "CIWE" network (Cooperation in West and East for volunteering and peace). Participants from Eastern and Western Europe met in the Eternal City to discuss about future projects to be developed within the new SCI platform, whose objective is to strengthen the cooperation and the exchange of volunteers among branches and partners in Europe. The seminar consisted in three parts: an introductory two-day block to get to know each other, to present the organisations and to discuss about EU policy (accession criteria, youth policy and human rights), a central session focused on workshops proposed by participants and a final part aimed at designing further initiatives.
