Extreme right wing groups are a threat for peace in Europe, where peace is not only absence of conflict but the condition where citizens' are equally endowed of rights. A grassroot reaction of European Civil Society is needed and urgent, even more in the framework of 2014 Elections. "Citizens Beyond Walls" is a challenging multi-actions project led by SCI Italy that include seminars in Germany, Greece, Bulgaria and a final event in Rome. The aim is to design a journalistic research to be carried out in each country in order to outline the activity of extreme right wing groups, and to organise residential "Peace Weeks" dealing with the research outcome. Supported by experts, I facilitated the introductory session of the seminar in Athens to trigger interesting discussions on the right-wing scenario in Europe, the way extremist groups use media for their propaganda and the current represantion of such gorup in the European Parliament.
