Tutto quello che poteva andare male, è andato peggio (Italian edition)
After 15 years of activity in the field of project design, coordination and evaluation, I thought it was about time to put down all my experiences (negative and positive) in a book. This is the reason why I self-published this manual (roughly translated, the title means: "what could go wrong, went worst"), which intends to provide tips and perspectives to the project managers, especially those who are starting their journey in the jungle of application forms, grants, reports and international partership. The style is often ironic and light, but I share also more serious reflections on values, resources, impact. If you wish to receive a digital copy (Italian language only), please contact me.
La mia scuola in Sudafrica (Italian Edition)
This is my Italian translation of Mark O'Doherty's "Reifeprüfung in Afrika", an autobiographical novel about the author's school days in South Africa during the collapse of the apartheid system. I met Mark in 2008 as I was studying in Vienna (we shared the same flat) and after reading his book I got so keen of it that I decided to translate it in Italian.
I think that this novel has a strong educational significance. Mark observes and describes the behaviors of adults (parents, teachers) in a society whose foundations, based upon racism and inequality, are no longer able to support the whole system. Can young idealism, creativity, love and friendship be the answers to create a new South Africa?

My thesis on youth participation and international voluntary work
Clicking here it is possible to download the thesis I wrote in 2009 to conclude my master in European Studies at Vienna University. Its title is "Making Europe: youth participation through international voluntary work and non-formal education programmes". It features a chapter about the development of the Youth in Action programme, a compendium on analysis about youth issues in Europe and a study case (The Città dell'Utopia project in Rome) about active citizenship.
Toolkit on project management and intercultural learning
This 35-page publication I edited in 2013 illustrates different aspects related to NFE, intercultural learning and project management. It contains also a collection of tools for intercultural youth activities, ideas for learning sessions, food for thought and inputs for managing a project from A to Z. Click here to download the toolkit.
Among my favorite sections of the toolkit are "Can Hollywood teach us something about project management" and "Visualization methods and correct use of technology". The drawings I added are quite basic but very catchy!

Crabbie & Tom - the strips
Crabbie & Tom is a cartoon made for the "Workcamps for All 2013" Facebook page, designed by the Ukrainian branch of Service Civil International, and aimed at promoting volunteering in workcamps worldwide. Each episode deals with a different aspect of the everyday life in a summer workcamp: arrival, kitchen shifts, working together, study part, free time and so on. Tom, a young international volunteer, is followed by his pet Crabbie (a crab!), a funny small troublemaker full of ideas and energy. Click on the image on the left to visualize the gallery with 7 episodes: 1. Packing - 2. Surprise - 3. Zakzak - 4. Crab soup - 5. A sweet study part - 6. Crabball - 7. Crabbridge.

GHRW cartoons 2018/19
The Global Human Rights Week is an event promoted by CCIVS in the framework of its Raising Peace Campaign. This is an initiative lasting 6 days in October, which intends to cast a spotlight on the activities implemented by NGOs, intercultural organisations, institutions and activists to promote Human Rights and Peace all over the world. In 2018 and 2019, I coordinated the GHRW and contributed with some cartoons which were published online. The topics of the GHRW include gender issues, peace, climate justice, active participation and rights to food and housing.
